Qilimanjaro has been selected for Phase 1 of the EuroHPC Quantum Grand Challenge, as the only Spanish company among the 13 European quantum companies selected out of 27 eligible proposals. The selection also awards Qilimanjaro the STEP Seal, recognising EuroQ-Stack as a high-quality strategic technology project for Europe’s technological sovereignty and competitiveness.

Successful completion of Phase 1 could open the way for Qilimanjaro to Phase 2 and up to 30 million euros in venture debt financing from the European Investment Bank, subject to further evaluation and EIB due diligence.

Qilimanjaro’s selected project, EuroQ-Stack, The Full-Stack Multimodal Quantum Platform for Hyperscale Data Centers, will define the technical, commercial and financial roadmap for bringing our analog and multimodal quantum computing technology into hyperscale data-centre environments. Building on our experience integrating quantum systems into European HPC infrastructure, the project will focus on high-value applications, hyperscale integration requirements, technical and product differentiation, scale-up readiness, and a resilient European supply chain.

EuroQ-Stack is the next step in Qilimanjaro’s ambition. Today our systems run inside European HPC centres and through quantum-as-a-service; the project sets out what industrial-scale quantum computing infrastructure requires, where AI, HPC and quantum processing converge in the same facility, and what a stronger and more sovereign European quantum ecosystem needs underneath it.
