{"id":8100,"date":"2022-06-27T10:08:36","date_gmt":"2022-06-27T10:08:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.qilimanjaro.tech\/?p=2271"},"modified":"2026-02-17T12:49:09","modified_gmt":"2026-02-17T11:49:09","slug":"qilimanjaro-at-quantum-matter-and-aqc-conference-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/qilimanjaro.tech\/ca\/qilimanjaro-at-quantum-matter-and-aqc-conference-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"Qilimanjaro at Quantum Matter and AQC Conference 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This past week Qilimanjaro has been present at two conferences:&nbsp; the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.quantumconf.eu\/2022\/\">Quantum Matter Conference 2022<\/a> in Barcelona and the ICTP Conference on Adiabatic Quantum Computation \/ Quantum Annealing, hosting <a href=\"https:\/\/indico.ictp.it\/event\/9803\/\">AQC2022<\/a> in Trieste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Qilimanjaro has participated for the second year in a row at the Quantum Matter Conference, held this year in Barcelona (June 21-23).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Besides an Invited talk from Daniel Szombati, senior quantum engineer of the hardware team, and his participation at the roundtable at the Industrial Forum, we also had two poster presentations from two of our PhD students of the theory team. The location of the conference offered us the opportunity to have a high number of Qilimanjaro members attending in person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-7387b849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:100%\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-2 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\"><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/qilimanjaro.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/IMG_20220622_130741-2-1024x575.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"2282\" data-full-url=\"https:\/\/www.qilimanjaro.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/IMG_20220622_130741-2-scaled.jpg\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.qilimanjaro.tech\/?attachment_id=2282\" class=\"wp-image-2282\"\/><\/figure><\/li><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/qilimanjaro.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/IMG_1042-2-1024x721.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"2281\" data-full-url=\"https:\/\/www.qilimanjaro.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/IMG_1042-2-scaled.jpg\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.qilimanjaro.tech\/?attachment_id=2281\" class=\"wp-image-2281\"\/><\/figure><\/li><\/ul><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a Silver sponsor, Qilimanjaro had a permanent booth on site, an outstanding opportunity in presenting the company during the three days of the conference, which led to direct contacts with leading scientists and experts in the Quantum space .&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/qilimanjaro.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/20220621_110650-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2276\" width=\"372\" height=\"209\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The second conference, the ICTP Conference on Adiabatic Quantum Computation \/ Quantum Annealing, hosting AQC2022 (20-24 June) was held in Trieste and Qilimanjaro has been represented in-person by three of our members of the theory team.
