El nostre cofundador i arquitecte de programari en cap, Artur-Garcia S\u00e1ez, i dos estudiants de doctorat, Ana Palacios i Matthias Werner, han estat a la ciutat assistint a la confer\u00e8ncia. Els dos estudiants de doctorat van presentar el seu treball el 15 de mar\u00e7, juntament amb un altre estudiant de doctorat, Jordi Riu, que va presentar el seu treball de manera virtual.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ana Palacios, \u00e9s una estudiant de doctorat de primer any a la Universitat de Barcelona, que desenvolupa t\u00e8cniques per ajudar en el proc\u00e9s de computaci\u00f3 qu\u00e0ntica adiab\u00e0tica, aix\u00ed com noves codificacions de problemes dins el marc de la recuit (annealing) que fan un \u00fas expl\u00edcit de l'entrella\u00e7ament. Al March Meeting d'enguany, l'Ana va presentar una xerrada titulada \u201cSteered quantum annealing: improving time efficiency with partial information\u201d a la sessi\u00f3 F38: Quantum Annealing and Optimization I. Aquest treball, elaborat en col\u00b7laboraci\u00f3 amb els seus directors de doctorat, Marta P. Estarellas i Artur Garcia S\u00e1ez, tractava el \u201crecuit qu\u00e0ntic guiat com un nou m\u00e8tode per ampliar el gap al llarg del proc\u00e9s, en el cas d'Hamiltonians finals diagonals, basat en l'explotaci\u00f3 d'algunes suposicions fetes sobre la inst\u00e0ncia particular del problema\u201d. Per tal d'introduir aquesta informaci\u00f3, els autors proposen comen\u00e7ar el recuit a partir d'un Hamiltoni\u00e0 esbiaixat que incorpora suposicions fiables sobre l'estat fonamental final. Les simulacions mostren que aquest m\u00e8tode produeix un gap mitj\u00e0 m\u00e9s gran durant tota la computaci\u00f3, cosa que posa encara m\u00e9s de manifest l'augment de la robustesa d'aquesta \u00faltima.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"1822\" src=\"https:\/\/qilimanjaro.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/AnaPalaciosMarchMeeting1-1024x576.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1822\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En Jordi Riu, estudiant de doctorat de segon any tamb\u00e9 a la Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Catalunya, estudia les capacitats de la computaci\u00f3 qu\u00e0ntica per abordar problemes d'optimitzaci\u00f3 cl\u00e0ssica, amb un enfocament espec\u00edfic en aquells que s'originen a partir de reptes log\u00edstics del m\u00f3n real a gran escala. En Jordi va presentar el seu treball en lini\u00e0 enguany, desenvolupat en col\u00b7laboraci\u00f3 amb el seu director de tesi Artur Garcia S\u00e1ez: \u201cReinforcement Learning strategies for Quantum Optimization Algorithms\u201d a la sessi\u00f3 G38: Quantum Annealing and Optimization II. El treball presentat representa una estrat\u00e8gia basada en el control cl\u00e0ssic de dispositius qu\u00e0ntics mitjan\u00e7ant aprenentatge per refor\u00e7 (Reinforcement Learning) i aplicada a algorismes qu\u00e0ntics dissenyats per a problemes d'optimitzaci\u00f3 cl\u00e0ssica com el QAOA i el recuit qu\u00e0ntic (Quantum Annealing).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"1823\" src=\"https:\/\/qilimanjaro.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/JordiMarchMeetingPresentation-1024x643.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1823\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Matthias Werner tamb\u00e9 \u00e9s un estudiant de doctorat de primer any a la Universitat de Barcelona, interessat en la intersecci\u00f3 entre l'aprenentatge autom\u00e0tic i la computaci\u00f3 qu\u00e0ntica, la qual cosa inclou algorismes qu\u00e0ntics variacionals, aprenentatge autom\u00e0tic qu\u00e0ntic i aprenentatge autom\u00e0tic cl\u00e0ssic aplicat a la tecnologia qu\u00e0ntica. Va presentar al March Meeting el treball titulat \u201cThe power of density: Suppression of quantum phase transitions via dense driver Hamiltonians in adiabatic quantum computation\u201d, escrit en col\u00b7laboraci\u00f3 amb els seus directors de tesi doctoral, Marta P. Estarellas i Artur Garcia S\u00e1ez. El treball es va presentar a la sessi\u00f3 K38: Quantum Annealing and Optimization III. Aquesta xerrada fa refer\u00e8ncia a les condicions sota les quals la localitzaci\u00f3 causa transicions de fase qu\u00e0ntica de primer ordre. Com a conseq\u00fc\u00e8ncia d'aquesta an\u00e0lisi i utilitzant m\u00e8todes de la teoria espectral de grafs, es va examinar tant anal\u00edticament com num\u00e8ricament el paper de la connectivitat de l'Hamiltoni\u00e0 conductor en la mitigaci\u00f3 d'aquests efectes en diferents algorismes de computaci\u00f3 qu\u00e0ntica adiab\u00e0tica i es mostra que en el cas l\u00edmit de connectivitat completa s'eviten completament les transicions de fase qu\u00e0ntica de primer ordre degudes a la localitzaci\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/qilimanjaro.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/MatthiasWernerMarchmeeting-1024x576.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1824\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El March Meeting d'enguany va aplegar la presentaci\u00f3 de m\u00e9s de 10.000 articles t\u00e8cnics que abasten al voltant de 45 temes.
