This year, we made meaningful progress in the core technology that powers our quantum computers: the <\/span>fluxonium<\/span><\/i> qubit. <\/span><\/p>

As a full-stack company, we design everything from the quantum chip to the software and algorithms that run on top of it, and fluxonium sits at the heart of our architecture. <\/span><\/p>

Compared to more common superconducting qubits like the transmon, <\/span>fluxonium offers greater stability and cleaner control<\/b>, allowing us to run computations with less noise and fewer errors. Its unique design supports highly robust quantum states, making it a strong foundation for building scalable analog and hybrid (digital-analog) quantum computers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Another major milestone was the release of <\/span>QiliSDK<\/b>, our open-source Python framework that unifies digital, analog, and hybrid quantum algorithm development in a single environment. <\/span><\/p>

Introduced at the Munich Quantum Software Forum last October, QiliSDK serves as the entry point to our multimodal Quantum Data Center, connecting users to superconducting digital QPUs, analog QPUs, and classical HPC resources.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Its modular architecture provides high-level abstractions for circuits, Hamiltonians, variational workflows, and allows seamless switching between CPU, GPU, and QPU backends.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Through our SpeQtrum QaaS platform, companies, universities, and research centers will be able to explore applications in chemistry, materials science, optimization, and AI using a unified, cloud-based environment.<\/span><\/p>

Strengthening the Quantum Ecosystem Through Strategic Partnerships\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Qilimanjaro strengthened its position in Europe\u2019s quantum ecosystem through strategic partnerships that expanded our software and hardware capabilities and accelerated hybrid quantum deployment. We deepened our collaboration with Qblox to advance control of digital\u2013analog systems at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center and our recently opened Hybrid Quantum Data Center. <\/span><\/p>

We also joined the IMPAQT consortium<\/a> <\/b>in Delft as its only hybrid full-stack integrator, contributed to global training initiatives through our partnership with QURECA<\/a><\/b>, and reinforced our commitment to accessible, responsible quantum computing by joining CERN’s Open Quantum Institute.<\/a><\/b><\/p>

Together, these collaborations solidified Qilimanjaro\u2019s role in building a more connected and inclusive European quantum landscape.<\/span><\/p>

In parallel, we actively contributed to international working groups shaping the future of quantum infrastructure and services, including participation in the <\/span>GSMA Quantum Network Services working group<\/b>. We continued discussions and exploratory agreements with several industry players and technology providers, reflecting a shared interest in moving forward together, and strengthened our network of <\/span>HPC-focused partners<\/b>, including collaborations with <\/span>Do IT Now<\/a> & Oxigen<\/a><\/b>. <\/span><\/p>

This year, we made strong progress across multiple strategic projects and infrastructure initiatives within the European Innovation Council (EIC) framework, reinforcing our technological roadmap and operational capabilities. Several major projects reached key milestones, including the <\/span>completion of ROCCQET<\/a>, <\/span><\/b>the <\/span>launch and advancement of<\/b>\u00a0EuroQCS <\/a><\/b>deliveries<\/b>, and the <\/span>final delivery phase of Quantum Spain.<\/b><\/p>

At the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), these efforts translate into a major step forward for Europe\u2019s hybrid computing capabilities. With\u00a0EuroQCS<\/b>\u00a0now underway and\u00a0Quantum Spain<\/b>\u00a0nearing completion, BSC is on track to be equipped with\u00a0three quantum machines in total: two digital systems and one analog<\/b>\u2014supporting our vision of quantum computing as a\u00a0dedicated accelerator<\/b>\u00a0for selected workloads, operating in tandem with supercomputing.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Under <\/span>EuroQCS<\/b>, we began installing an <\/span>analog quantum computer<\/b> at BSC, expanding the site infrastructure with <\/span>new cryogenic systems<\/b>, achieving key milestones in <\/span>system integration<\/b>, improving <\/span>grounding and shielding<\/b>, and delivering the <\/span>QiliSDK integrated into the full operational pipeline<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>

In parallel, Quantum Spain<\/b> entered its final delivery stage<\/b>, focused on deploying two digital quantum computers at BSC, <\/b>between 20 and 30 qubits<\/b>. Over the year, we advanced hardware installation and brought new systems online, strengthening the foundation for robust, scalable quantum capabilities for both research and industrial use.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

We have also strengthened our scientific footprint through focused collaborations with leading research institutions and public entities, specifically assessing the viability of analog quantum computing in <\/span>two concrete application areas<\/b>: high-energy physics with <\/span>CERN<\/b> and public health with <\/span>Hospital del Mar<\/b> in Barcelona.<\/span><\/p>

With <\/span>CERN<\/b>, we pursued a flagship application in high-energy physics: using Quantum AI to support track reconstruction for the ATLAS detector. This work leveraged <\/span>Quantum Reservoirs<\/b>, a fully analog quantum computing approach, to assess how analog platforms can contribute to demanding inference tasks in particle physics. In parallel within this collaboration track, we explored <\/span>Quantum Extreme Learning Machines<\/b> for image classification as a complementary demonstration of analog Quantum AI applied to pattern-recognition problems\u00a0 [<\/span>1<\/a>, 2<\/a><\/b>].\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

With <\/span>Hospital del Mar<\/b> in Barcelona, we focused on public-health applications where optimization can deliver direct operational impact. The collaboration covered several concrete challenges, including <\/span>drug-design workflows<\/b>, <\/span>phylogenetic tree analysis<\/b>, <\/span>medical materials optimization<\/b>, and <\/span>surgery scheduling<\/b>. These efforts led to <\/span>two patents<\/b> and helped enable a reported <\/span>30% increase in surgical capacity<\/b>, reducing saturation in patient recovery units (URPA and UCI).<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

This year, our biggest achievement has been the extraordinary growth of the Qilimanjaro team. Thanks to this team, 2025 became a year of global presence and increased visibility: we attended <\/span>78 events worldwide<\/b>, including speaking roles at the MWC Barcelona & Doha, the APS March Meeting, The Economist\u2019s Commercialising Quantum Global and the International Year of Quantum. We also presented in more than 20 scientific conferences, published 15 scientific papers, and organized and hosted the International Network for Quantum Annealing (INQA) conference representing Qilimanjaro across leading scientific, technological, and industry forums.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
